SRA Ministries proudly participated in the Dallas Latino Festival at the Arts District, engaging families, sharing programs, and welcoming new students of all ages. The event provided a vibrant space for the community to learn more about English and citizenship opportunities while celebrating culture and connection.
SRA Ministries was honored to participate in the Dallas Latino Festival held in the heart of the Arts District, a vibrant gathering that celebrates culture, community, and connection. This marks the third consecutive year that SRA Ministries has been invited to host a booth at this meaningful event. Located in the museum area, the festival brought together families from across the Metroplex in a welcoming and energetic environment. Throughout the day, people of all ages approached the SRA Ministries booth to learn more about its educational programs and services. The team shared information about English classes, citizenship preparation, and community support offerings. Many visitors expressed excitement about opportunities to improve their skills and grow personally. The event once again demonstrated the power of community-centered outreach and engagement.
Among the many visitors was Lydia Cervantes, a permanent resident preparing for her next big step. “I am ready to take my citizenship test, and I feel confident knowing that SRA Ministries offers a program that will help me prepare and practice for the interview,” she shared. She expressed gratitude for discovering a program that aligns with her goals and supports her journey. Also present was Mr. Ruiz, an ESL teacher with 20 years of experience in Dallas ISD, who was impressed by the organization’s work. “I would love to see more SRA Ministries locations across the Metroplex,” he said. He suggested areas such as South Buckner in Southeast Dallas, Oak Cliff in West Dallas, and near 635 and Garland Road as strategic points for expansion. He also emphasized the importance of expanding further north to serve people of all backgrounds learning English. His enthusiasm reflected the growing recognition of the impact SRA Ministries is making in the community.
Angel Del Rio, CEO and Founder of SRA Ministries, reflected on the organization’s continued presence at the festival. “This is our third year participating in the Latino Festival here in the Arts District, and we are grateful to have been invited every year,” he said. He highlighted the event as a valuable opportunity to connect with families and share the mission of the organization. “It’s a great family event, and we truly enjoy being here and helping people learn about our services,” he added. Visitors were even able to register for programs on the spot, making the experience both informative and actionable. As the festival came to a close, Angel concluded with a smile, “Now it’s time to go back to classes after this festival.” SRA Ministries looks forward to continuing this tradition and returning for the Latino Festival in 2026.
